“So much of battling cancer must by necessity be faced alone. That’s why

A Fresh Chapter is so very valuable. Being a part of a community of wonderful people who truly ‘get it’ lifts so much of the psychic burden, providing opportunities for personal growth and rejuvenation. And a blessed reminder that while we still must traverse the journey ourselves, we are in fact not alone while doing so.”

“I first encountered A Fresh Chapter in 2019, and the organization has since provided me with invaluable tools. The AFC Leaders Program offered a fantastic opportunity to meet people from

different parts of the world and learn about their experiences and cultural views on cancer. This not only broadened my understanding but also helped me connect with others passionate about making a difference in the field of cancer advocacy.”

A message from our CEO

Reflecting on a decade of A Fresh Chapter fills me with both awe and gratitude. From the audacious dream in New Delhi to serving thousands annually across the globe, our story has already exceeded my wildest imaginings.

The pages of our 2023 chapter are filled with significant milestones — the global launch of our new AFC Leaders and Amplify programs, our return to onsite cross-cultural programming after four years, and a direct impact in the lives of over 1,500 cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, and advocates around the world.

I’m incredibly grateful to our donors, partners, alumni, staff, and volunteers who make this work possible and am excited about what we can build together in the next ten years.
